Alternative Medicine for Heat Rash

Alternative Medicine for Heat Rash

Dr. Dimple Jangda – a gut health coach, shared ayurvedic remedies for prickly heat relief:

Symptomatic relief with sandalwood powder mixed with water (2:1) and applied over the rash. Topical use of this thick paste can relieve burning and pain associated with heat rash.

Massaging with freshly extracted aloe vera gel can alleviate heat rash owing to its anti-inflammatory action.

Fuller’s earth (Multani mitti) harbors anti-inflammatory and analgesic actions and can be effective for treating prickly heat in infants and adults. It is to be mixed with water to form a thick paste and applied for 10 mins.

Basil leaf paste mixed with honey can also be used to soothe flare-ups and reduce irritation, redness, and swelling associated with heat rash.
