Are medical interns exploited?

In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Group Editor in Chief MEDtalks, will talk on the exploitation of the medical interns. He discusses that the medical interns are not treated uniformly across the country. The stipend given to them is very less in spite of working day and night. Dr. Aggarwal urges that medical interns should be provided snacks, sleeping space, availability of electronic library and their stipend should not be less than Re. 30,000. He also suggests all medical colleges, hospitals and Medical Council of India and Ministry of Health to make the necessary arrangements and increase their stipend.
