At what age may diabetes start?

In this video, Dr. Jayanta Panda, Professor of Medicine at SCB Medical College, Cuttack, will talk about the age when diabetes start. He states that type 1 diabetes start from childhood and requires insulin lifelong. Type 2 diabetes can start in childhood due to gaining obesity in children. These children are asked to maintain their lifestyle and control weight. They are asked to avoid junk foods and do exercises. These lifestyle modifications can help to avoid type 2 diabetes and its crisis. If diabetes start in the younger age groups, it can lead to complications of heart, brain, eyes, etc. He will also discuss how parents can guide their children to adapt a healthy lifestyle.
