Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Group Editor in Chief MEDtalks, will talk whether MBBS doctor can prescribe Liv 52 drugs in this video. There are two types of drugs: scheduled drug and non-scheduled drug in Drug and Cosmetic Act. Schedule drugs are modern medicine drugs. Nonscheduled drugs can be advertised, can be sold without license and can be self-prescribed. Liv 52 and other Ayurvedic drugs which do not come under schedule E drugs are over the counter drugs and can be sold by anybody. Also, these drugs don’t need license to be sold. Liv 52 can be prescribed by any system of medicine.
