Celebrity urges fans to wear sunscreen to protect from skin cancer this summer

In an Instagram video, Hugh Jackman, the 54-year-old actor, revealed that he underwent two biopsies for spots on his nose, which the doctor suspected to be basal cell carcinoma, a form of skin cancer.

Since this rendezvous, Hugh Jackman has urged fans to use sunscreen this summer.

Basal cell carcinoma can occur on the head, face, and neck and appear as a slightly transparent bump; with a brown, black, or blue color. It can be a flat, scaly patch with a raised edge; or a white, waxy, scar-like lesion. This Cancer seldom spreads beyond its original site and can be managed easily when caught early.

Jackman remarked, "Although basal cell carcinoma is the least dangerous of all, people should still avoid it by wearing sunscreen as summer approaches." "No matter how much you want to get tanned, put some sunscreen on, and You'll still have an amazing time out there. Please live safe," he added.

The actor also underwent the same procedure in the years 2017, 2014, and 2013, and in each instance, he used his social media handle to request his fans to protect themselves under the sun.

Captioning his most recent post, Jackman hinted at his earlier instances by reminding people that he has been talking about basal cell carcinomas and will continue to do so in the future if needed. He further added that he would be happy if even one person followed his advice to put a high-SPF sunscreen.
