In this video, Dr. Minal Mohit, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Manipal Hospital, Jaipur, will talk about diabetes in pregnancy. Pregnancy in diabetes are broadly classified into three groups: Type 1 pregnancy, Type 2 pregnancy, Gestational pregnancy. Dr. Minal will also inform to keep all the pregnant women’s HbA1c levels at 6.5. The best regimen to follow for all types of pregnant women is the basal bolus regimen. She will explain the treatment regimen for different types of diabetes. Also, the fasting and post prandial glucose levels should be strictly controlled. She will also talk about the complications in mother as well as the baby which can arise if the sugar levels are not adequately controlled.

Dr. Minal Mohit is an experienced Endocrinologist from Jaipur in Rajasthan. Director of Sashakt Diabetes & Endocrinology Centre, she is also working as Consultant Endocrinologist at Manipal Hospital where she is heading Department of Endocrinology and Metabolism. In addition to this Dr. Minal Mohit is attached with KMS as Visiting Endocrinologist, ICU. An excellent student, Dr. Minal Mohit bagged Silver Medals while pursuing 1st, 2nd and Final MBBS from JLN Medical College in Jaipur. She also received Gold Medal in Forensic Medicine, General Medicine, ENT, Ophthalmology, and P & SM. She is proud recipient of two Certificate of Merit from Ministry of Human Resource and Development, Government of India. In 2003, she completed MD in Internal Medicine from JLN Medical College. She has undergone special training in Paediatric and Adolescent Endocrinology from UK. Dr. Minal Mohit was part of WHO sponsored project titled 'Clinical Implementation of the Various Rapid Diagnostic Modalities Available For Malaria'.
