He says that infection in knee replacement is not very common nowadays specially in centers such as tertiary health care hospitals which are well-equipped. Dr. Mahajan also states that these hospitals maintain hygiene standards and the rate of infection is decreasing.

Worked extensively in Primary Hip, Knee and Revision Joint Replacement. Took up the public position as Head of Orthopaedics at the Nova Specialty Hospital, Kailash Colony from 2010 to 2014. Visiting Orthopaedic Surgeon in the Fortis Hospital from 2009 to 2014.
