  • Uniformity in the use of dyslipidemia guidelines to be emphasized as patients in India often consult many physicians over time: to avoid contradictory advice that negatively impacts adherence.
  • There is a need to educate physicians regarding familial hypercholesterolemia (FH) diagnosis and its importance.
  • The incidence of statin intolerance is low, so statin usage should increase.
  • Statins should be started at the time of diabetes mellitus diagnosis.
  • The usage of nonstatin drugs is very low.
  • Fibrates are still preferred in patients with high TG.
  • Lp(a) estimation rates are low.
  • It is encouraging that 60% have read about LAI guidelines.
