Prof. Bejon Misra, Founder-Director, PSM India Initiative, will talk on how does the common patient or a consumer differentiate between spurious and genuine and good quality medicines The first thing the patient should do is to take prescription for every medicine they purchase. And after purchasing they should take a receipt. He will also discuss that the patient need to buy medicines from a trustworthy chemist. Do not buy from unknown places because the patient will never come to know whether the medicine is genuine or not unless an adverse reaction has happened. Hence, it is very important to take prescription from the doctor rather than self-medication.
