The current recommendations for dual antiplatelet therapy is from 6 – 12 months. There are no adequate data available which suggests to continue the dual antiplatelet treatment beyond 12 months. Ideally, after a year one antiplatelet therapy should be stopped and continue with the other antiplatelet for lifelong.
