In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Group Editor in Chief MEDtalks, will discuss about the classification and treatment of clostridium difficile infection. It is a hospital acquired infection also seen in community acquired infections. It can be non-severe, severe or fulminant. Dr. Aggarwal will further explain each type in details. Patients with clostridium difficile requires immediate antibiotic treatment. The preventive measure for this infection is hand wash with soap whenever possible.
