Is a cholesterol value reliable, does it vary from lab to lab?
In this video, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India and Group Editor in Chief MEDtalks, will discuss about the cholesterol results from different laboratories. He says that cholesterol test can vary from lab to lab, time to time and in summer and winter. It can vary upto 14% in different laboratories. Also, 4-14% variation can be due to fever, stress, etc. he will further discuss about the different components of cholesterol tests.
