Management of acute uncomplicated cystitis?

Dr. Aggarwal says that the current recommendations is nitrofurantoin three times a day for 5 days or trimethoprim sulfamethoxazole twice a day for 3 days. Phosphomycin single dose is reserved for patients who cannot tolerate nitrofurantoin or Septran group of drugs.
