The global studies shows that there is more use of antibiotics in the animal sector than in human sector. Those antibiotics which are used in animal sector are actually meant for human sector. He will also talk that in animals, the antibiotics are used for both curative as well as preventive measures. He will highlight which animals are given these antibiotics. These antibiotics are also used as animal growth promoters. He will also discuss the misperception that many agriculturists and veterinarians believe that giving antibiotics in healthy animals will increase their survival rates, increased milk production in cows, etc.
