In this video, Dr. Minal Mohit, Diabetes & Endocrinology, Manipal Hospital, Jaipur, will talk about complications of diabetes in women. The complications of diabetes are the microangiopathies and macroangiopathies. Women mostly suffer these complications due to poor drug adherence, poor glycemic control and poor prescription compliance. Because of the hormonal fluctuations, women are more affected with complications. Diabetes can lead to early menopause which leads to resurgence of the hormones, dyslipidemia, and cardiovascular diseases. Peripheral vascular disease is the least affected complication in women.
