In this video, Dr. Manisha Agarwal, Vitreo-retina surgeon, Dr. Shroffs Charity Hospital, New Delhi, will discuss about various retinal diseases. She talks about the retinal diseases which are secondary to high blood pressure, uncontrolled blood pressure which can cause venous occlusion in the eyes affecting the reading vision. She will also discuss about age related macular degeneration which is found in patients more than 50 years of age and it affects the central part of retina. Patients can see far objects clearly but has a problem in reading. One more retinal disease is retinopathy of prematurity, found in premature babies. They need a retinal check-up 4 weeks after the babies are born.
