Dr. Philip A. Masters, Adjunct Professor of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Received an MD degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. Board certified in internal medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP). Served as Vice Chair of Medical Education for the Department of Medicine and Chair of the Division of General Internal Medicine at Penn State. Served on the inaugural Council of the Alliance for Academic Internal Medicine (AAIM), the organization of the five groups overseeing medical education in internal medicine. Current responsibilities include oversight of all member-related activities and initiatives of the College, as well as the engagement of ACP with the global internal medicine community. Continues to practice ambulatory internal medicine and teach medical residents at the University of Pennsylvania.
