In this video, Dr. Narendra Saini, MBBS, MD, Internal / General Medicine, will talk on in-vitro & in-vivo culture. In any kind of infection, the most important drug which is sensitive to the microorganisms is given. The drug which is to be given is tested outside the body for its sensitivity and is known as in-vitro test. The drug should reach a specific concentration inside the body to kill the organisms, this is known as in-vivo test. When the laboratory gives the culture sensitivity test report which might contain 10 different antibiotics, the clinician should also use his expertise to select the one antibiotic which he feels will reach to that level of concentration for killing the microorganisms.
