There is a misunderstanding that many pathology reports are signed by the lab technicians or the quality managers or anyone who works in the pathology department. It has been clarified that only those who possess the qualifications which are registered with Medical Council of India are authorized to sign a pathology report. Those who have qualifications of MBBS, MD or PhD and the other registered qualifications which includes DM, MCH and others.
