As the urbanization of cities continues, more people are leading less active, sedentary lives that have led to an increased prevalence of diabetes in the Indian population, especially among the younger generation. Along with urbanization, there are several other factors, such as lack of awareness, delayed diagnosis, delayed initiation of treatment, etc. that have contributed to pushing the case numbers on a steep incline.
